When the boys are 13 and girls 12, they are Bar and Bat Mitzvahs respectively. In accordance with our tradition this is the moment they leave childhood and become adolescents. A stage of receiving and enjoying is completed and they begin their integration in a world of more responsibility and commitment. Facing these young people is a horizon of greater independence which transforms the family environment and the internal dynamics of their relationships with their parents.
In our community we have a programme to help reach this moment which includes all these aspects and everything that relates to the changes in the young people’s religious practices. After this celebration they will not be the same and must possess the tools and the basis on which to face up to these new challenges.
The warmth of our ceremony, the musical harmony of each Kabalat Shabbat, the personalised accompanying of our morot and the depth of each family’s commitment are the basis of our proposal for this experience to be unique and unforgettable.
